Today the Commission will move to a new website with an updated design.
Our intention is that it’s modern, visually engaging and user-friendly. The design is also reasonably minimalist in order to make it mobile-friendly.
This is important because all websites are increasingly being accessed via mobile devices rather than personal computers.
Navigation around the site has been simplified, with large buttons to point users in the right direction.
For those familiar with the previous website, it might take a little bit of getting used to.
We’ve also updated the website to a new system – Drupal 8 – to ensure it is up to date with current website standards.
The new system will help us keep the website in line with current practices.
It has been a lengthy and complicated process migrating all of our content, so we are expecting some minor glitches.
